The Aico Ei181 is a low variable voltage (12-24v) ionisation smoke alarm, with a 9V alkaline backup battery for continuous operation in the event of a power failure. Ionisation detectors are ideal for detecting fast flaming fires, and are particularly suitable for use in bedrooms.
The alarm is supplied with an Easi-fit base, which offers quick, straightforward installation and connects both the mains power and the backup battery to the alarm head. It also has a pair of volt-free relay contacts via hard-wired interconnection, plus a combined test/hush button that facilitates frequent testing and ensures that disruption from false alarms is kept to a minimum.
It is CE marked and kitemarked to BS EN 14604:2005, and has a manufacturer's warranty of 5 years.
Wired Interconnection
The Ei181 can be connected with up to 20 other Aico 180 Series alarms, so that when one alarm is triggered, it will cause all interlinked alarms to sound.
