We offer a range of fire alarm bells designed for use on fire alarm systems in standard 24v versions and 230v powered versions for different applications.

Conventional electronic fire alarm sounders are devices that emit an audible alarm signal in the event of a fire. They are typically hard-wired to a conventional fire alarm system on a separate sounder circuit and are activated when a fire detector (such as a smoke detector) detects a fire.

Electronic fire alarm sounders typically have a loud, high-pitched tone that is designed to alert people in the building to evacuate. Some electronic fire alarm sounders offer a selection of different alarm tones and can also be equipped with strobe lights that flash in sync with the alarm sound to alert people who may have hearing difficulties.

Conventional fire alarm visual indicators (VIDs) are devices that provide a visual indication of a fire alarm event. They are typically used as part of a conventional fire alarm system and are activated when a fire detector (such as a smoke detector) detects a fire. Visual indicators are designed to help alert people in the building to a fire alarm event.

They are only to be used in conjunction with electronic fire alarm sounders, which emit an audible alarm signal. VIDs are suitable for use as a supplementary warning device alongside audible sounders but are not suitable for use in locations where a visual warning needs to be the primary source of alarm. A Visual Alarm Device (VAD) is a device that emits clear visual signals in emergency situations to facilitate efficient evacuation. VADs can be used both indoors and outdoors, mounted on walls or ceilings, and can be standalone or integrated into larger alarm systems. They are particularly useful in environments with high levels of background noise or where individuals may be wearing hearing protection or headphones. Additionally, VADs are important for providing accessible emergency warnings for individuals with impaired hearing or deafness, ensuring that all individuals are protected in public spaces, offices, educational environments and toilets.

VADs are a requirement in locations where the visual warning element is the primary source of alarm for individuals who would not be alerted by alarm sounders. They must comply with EN54-23

Combined sounder and visual indicators for conventional fire alarms are devices that provide both audible and visual signals in the event of a fire emergency. These devices are typically installed in buildings and other structures to alert occupants to the presence of a fire and to facilitate evacuation.

These combined devices are ideal in locations which require both audible and visual alert signals in a single point without the need to install separate sounder and visual devices.

Combined sounder and visual indicator bases for conventional fire alarms are devices that emit both audible and visual signals in case of emergency and are designed to be mounted on the same point as a fire detector, but can also be installed as a lower profile stand-alone device.
