Conventional fire alarm detector bases are the mounting devices for fire detectors, such as smoke and heat detectors on a conventional fire alarm system. They provide a secure and standardised location for the detectors to be mounted, allowing for easy installation, maintenance and replacement of the detectors if necessary. The base also provides a consistent, reliable electrical connection between the detector and the fire alarm control panel.

Detector bases must be compatible with the fire detector heads they are being utilised on to ensure correct operation of the system.
