The Espire ES1MUL is a Grade F1 standalone multi-sensor fire alarm combining optical smoke and thermistor heat sensing technologies in a single battery-powered unit. Certified to both BS EN 14604:2005 and BS 5446-2:2003, the dual-sensor alarm continuously monitors smoke particle density and temperature shifts to accelerate response times to fast-flaming and slow-smouldering fires, while reducing false activations caused by airborne steam or dust.
Powered by a non-replaceable 10-year sealed 3V lithium battery (CR17450), the alarm provides maintenance-free operation over its full service life. System features include automatic self-diagnostic sensor testing, a 3-LED status interface, an 85dB sounder at 3 metres, a 10-minute alarm hush function, a 12-hour fault silence option, and a 24-hour post-alarm memory indicator.
While the ES1MUL does not support hardwired interlinking, wireless RF interlinking across up to 28 devices is supported via the optional ES1RF2 module. The unit mounts onto an anti-tamper lock-in base and is housed in a flame-retardant, UV-stabilised ABS enclosure (Ø132mm x 53mm, UL94-V0 rated), backed by a 5-year guarantee.
