The Espire ES1CHL is a Grade F1 standalone carbon monoxide and heat multi-sensor alarm powered by a non-replaceable 10-year sealed 3V lithium battery. Certified to both EN 50291-1:2018 and BS 5446-2:2003, the unit combines an electrochemical CO detection cell with an A2 heat sensor (58°C activation threshold) to provide dual protection against toxic gas accumulation and rapid temperature rises while preventing false alarms in kitchens and fuel-burning spaces.
Designed for maintenance-free operation over its full service life, the alarm includes automatic self-diagnostic sensor testing, a 3-LED status interface, an 85dB sounder at 3 metres, a 10-minute hush button, a 12-hour fault silence option, and a 24-hour post-alarm memory visual indicator. While the ES1CHL does not feature hardwired interconnect capabilities, it supports wireless RF interlinking across up to 28 devices via the optional ES1RF2 module. The unit mounts onto an anti-tamper lock-in base and is housed in a UV-stabilised, flame-retardant ABS enclosure (Ø132mm x 59mm, UL94-V0 rated).
