Espire 10 Year Longlife Battery Heat Alarm (ES1HL)

The Espire ES1HL is a Grade F1 stand-alone domestic heat alarm powered by a non-replaceable 3V lithium CR17450 battery, providing a 10-year operational service life without requiring mains wiring. Certified to BS 5446-2:2003, the unit utilises A1 thermal detection technology calibrated to activate at 58°C, making it ideal for areas prone to false alarms from steam, dust, or cooking fumes—such as kitchens, garages, and loft spaces.

The alarm features an integrated 85dB sounder at 3 metres, supplemented by red (fire) and yellow (fault) status LEDs. A central combined Test/Hush button performs automatic self-testing across the sensor and internal electronics, while allowing temporary 10-minute alarm silencing and 12-hour fault silencing. It also incorporates a 24-hour memory feature to track prior activations.

Wireless network expansion is supported via an optional plug-in ES1RF2 RF-Link module, allowing interlink capability with up to 28 compatible Espire devices. Housed in a white, flame-retardant UL94-V0 rated UV-stabilised ABS casing (132mm diameter x 60.5mm height), the unit mounts via an anti-tamper lock-in ceiling base for secure installation.
