Espire 10 Year Longlife Battery Carbon Monoxide Alarm (ES1CL)

The Espire ES1CL is a Grade F1 stand-alone domestic carbon monoxide (CO) alarm equipped with a sealed-for-life 3V lithium battery, delivering a 10-year continuous operational service life without requiring mains electrical wiring. Certified to BS EN 50291-1:2018 for domestic premises, the unit incorporates an advanced electrochemical CO sensor calibrated to continuously monitor ambient air for dangerous carbon monoxide concentrations.

Designed for installation near fuel-burning appliances, boiler rooms, living spaces, and bedrooms, the alarm features an integrated 85dB acoustic sounder at 3 metres alongside distinct red (alarm), yellow (fault), and green (power/status) LED indicators. A large central Test/Hush button allows single-touch system diagnostic testing and temporary silencing of non-critical alerts, while built-in memory retention tracks prior CO detection events.

For networked installations, the ES1CL supports wireless expansion via an optional plug-in ES1RF2 RF-Link module, enabling interlink communication with up to 28 compatible Espire battery-powered devices. Housed in a white, flame-retardant UV-stabilised ABS enclosure, the unit includes a versatile mounting plate suitable for both permanent wall/ceiling fixing and free-standing tabletop placement.
