The Aico Ei186 is a 12-24v low voltage optical smoke alarm, with a 9V alkaline back up battery for continuous operation in the event of a power failure. Optical detectors are ideal for detecting visible smouldering fires, and are suitable for use in hallways, landings and living or dining rooms.
The alarm is supplied with an Easi-fit base, which offers quick, straightforward installation and connects both the mains power and the back up battery to the alarm head. It also has a pair of volt free relay contacts via hard-wired interconnection, plus a built-in mesh screen to reduce the risk of dust and insect contamination. The combined test/hush button facilitates frequent testing and ensures that disruption from false alarms is kept to a minimum.
It is CE marked and kitemarked to BS EN 14604:2005, and has a manufacturer's warranty of 5 years.
Wired Interconnection
The Ei186 can be connected with up to 20 other Aico 180 Series alarms, so that when one alarm is triggered, it will cause all interlinked alarms to sound.
