The Aico Ei184 runs on a 12-24v variable power supply, with a 9V alkaline back up battery for continuous operation in the event of a power failure. Ideal for installation in areas where smoke alarms would not be appropriate, for example kitchens or garages, this product features a fixed temperature fast response thermistor type sensor which triggers at 58°C ± 4°C.
The alarm is supplied with an Easi-fit base, which offers quick, straightforward installation and connects both the mains power and the back up battery to the alarm head. It also has a pair of volt free relay contacts via hard-wired interconnection, plus a combined test/hush button that facilitates frequent testing and ensures that disruption from false alarms is kept to a minumum.
It is CE marked and kitemarked to BS 5446 Part 2:2003, and has a manufacturer's warranty of 5 years.
Wired Interconnection
The Ei184 can be connected with up to 20 other Aico 180 Series alarms, so that when one alarm is triggered, it will cause all interlinked alarms to sound.
