Product Details for Ziton SDK Services Panel Activation Key (PAK)
The fire panel allows for its capabilities to be extended by use of a USB dongle called a PAK, which stands for Panel Activation Key. The use of the PAK activates additional high-end feature(s) in the panel. Depending on the required functionality, separate and multiple PAKs can be used to enable like number of nodes/loops, supported detector protocol, use TCP/IP communication protocol for remote monitoring, communication with management software such as BACNet or Modbus, etc. All these features can be enabled by using a PAK. The PAK is tied to the serial number of the panel but does not need to stay connected to it. Once installed, the PAK can be removed and the feature remains enabled in the panel. It is recommended that PAKs stay with the panel at all time in case, for example, reset functions or re-installations need to be carried out.
