The Siemens FDF242-EX flame detector with three pyroelectric sensors uses the principle of infrared detection for effective fire detection. Each of the three pyroelectric sensors has been designed to analyze a specific wavelength in the infrared spectrum.
Due to its durable housing, the detector is suitable for operation in challenging environments. Suitable in various applications including the automotive industry, food and beverage sector, EV charging points, chemical production facilities, as well as military and civilian aircraft hangars.
The FDF242-EX can be used in zones 0, 1, and 2.
