The Kidde DY29 is an optical smoke alarm powered by a replaceable 9v alkaline battery providing 5 year protection. The alarm includes a large hush control button which allows for false alarms to be temporarily silenced.
The DY29 is designed to be easy to use and install. Its large hush button makes testing the alarm simple and is suitable for those who are visually impaired. Kidde's 'Ramp-Up Horn' allows for the sounder volume to be reduced during the test sequence.
The alarm provides an audible end-of-life notification and visual indication via a flashing LED for a period of 30 days before the alarm fails.
