The Hochiki outer cover removal tool releases the Hochiki HFP sensor casing from the body of the device, to allow access to the photoelectric components and smoke chamber for maintenance/cleaning purposes.
The device slots into the underside of the sensor and when twisted, releases the clips that hold the cover in place.
