The Agrippa Sound-Activated Fire Door Closer (Silver) is designed to be fitted in place of a traditional door closer to hold fire doors open in any position and ensuring that they close in the event of a fire alarm activation. It is a free-swing closer which makes even heavy fire doors light, resistance-free and easy to move.
The Agrippa door closer is completely battery-powered and features an LED display screen for ease of maintenance. The LED screen displays information such as low battery warnings and can also be used to set up the daily timed release function to ensure that all fire doors will close during unstaffed hours.
The closer enables fire doors to be held open in any position within 60-105°, allowing for flexible use. The red manual release button on the closer can be used to manually release the and close the door when needed.
The Agrippa fire door closer is ideal for use in environments where minimal disruption during installation is preferred such as schools, care homes and hotels.
New Dual-Mode
The Agrippa fire door closer is dual-mode, ready to protect straight out of the box by default and also ready to learn the sound of your specific fire alarm. It is recognised by UK Fire and Rescue Services and the London Fire Brigade, suitable for installation to BS 7273-4 Standard Actuation (Category B) and conforms to EN1155, EN1154 and is CE marked.
Advanced 'Listen and Learn' Technology
The Agrippa closer uses 'listen and learn' technology to record the specific sound of the building's fire alarm, ensuring that the doors will close upon hearing this sound and not react to other loud noises such as vacuum cleaners or school children etc. In extremely noisy environments the device may trigger (as with all sound-activated devices), in this scenario a radio-controlled or hard-wired system should be considered.
