Firechief PyroFlow is an eco-friendly mineral-based suppression agent made from expanded glass granulate that is non-combustible and can be used for firefighting and fire prevention, including metal fires and Lithium-ion batteries. Its tiny internal pores form a partially closed cell structure. When it covers the fire load, it separates oxygen from the combustible material, melts to form glass, absorbs heat, cools the fire and encapsulates it, preventing further reaction.

Firechief PyroFlow is a mineral-based and eco-friendly suppression agent made from expanded glass granulate that can be used for firefighting and fire prevention. Its tiny internal pores form a partially closed cell structure, and it is non-combustible as it is 100% mineral-based.
How does Firechief PyroFlow work?
When Firechief PyroFlow covers the fire load, it separates oxygen from the combustible material. The high temperatures of the fire cause the PyroFlow to melt into glass, the granules then absorb a lot of heat and cool the fire. During this process, the PyroFlow forms an impermeable shell around the fire load to encapsulate it and prevents any further reaction.
