The Espire ES1RBRF is a 230V AC mains-powered relay base featuring a non-replaceable rechargeable 3V lithium backup battery. The unit is designed to interface Espire mains-powered safety alarms with external auxiliary systems—such as fire panels, shut-off valves, or telecare systems—via volt-free SPDT contact switching (up to 250V AC, 8A load).
Equipped with an integrated RF-Link receiver operating at 868MHz, the base enables wireless interlinking with up to 30 compatible Espire devices across an operational range of up to 30 meters indoors and 100 meters in open field. It also retains hardwired interconnect capability for up to 28 units.
Constructed from flame-retardant UL94-V0 rated UV-stabilised ABS measuring 142mm (diameter) x 36.5mm (height), the housing includes multiple cable entry knockouts for surface wiring. In the event of a mains power failure, the internal rechargeable backup battery maintains standby operational power and sustains full relay switching function for up to 6 hours with 10 activation operations.
