Espire Mains Powered Optical Smoke Alarm with 10 Year Back-up Battery (ES1SLV)

The Espire ES1SLV is a Grade D1 mains-powered optical smoke alarm designed for reliable early detection of slow-smouldering fires in residential hallways, landings, and living areas. Certified to EN 14604:2005 + AC:2008, the unit utilises a photoelectric sensing chamber equipped with internal dust compensation algorithms and an insect mesh barrier to minimise false activations caused by airborne particles while ensuring rapid response to combustion hazards.

Operating on a 230V AC mains supply (3.3W max, 0.5W standby), the alarm features a non-replaceable 10-year sealed lithium backup battery (3V CR17450) for maintenance-free operation over its full service life. Internal features include automatic self-diagnostic sensor testing, a 3-LED status interface, an auto-dimming power LED for non-intrusive night operation in sleeping quarters, an 85dB sounder at 3 metres, a 10-minute alarm hush function, and a 12-hour fault silence option. A 24-hour post-alarm memory feature provides visual indication following an event.

The ES1SLV mounts onto an anti-tamper lock-in wiring base, supporting hardwired interlinking across up to 28 compatible Espire mains safety devices over a maximum cabling distance of 300 metres. Hybrid wireless interlinking across networks is supported via the optional ES1RF RF-Link module. Housed in a flame-retardant, UV-stabilised ABS enclosure (Ø132mm x 53mm, UL94-V0 rated), the unit is backed by a 5-year guarantee.
