Espire Mains Powered Input Relay Base with Backup Battery (ES1MODV)

The Espire ES1MODV is a mains-powered hardwired interconnect input relay base designed to allow third-party equipment (such as fire panels, manual call points, sprinkler flow switches, or gas detection systems) to trigger an alarm activation across an Espire hardwired network. Operating on 230V AC mains with non-replaceable rechargeable 3V VL2330 lithium battery backup, the unit ensures continuous operation during power interruptions.

The unit functions via a volt-free, normally open (NO) short-to-trigger input contact. When an external device closes the contact, the ES1MODV transmits an activation signal down the hardwired interconnect line, sounding up to 28 connected Espire mains safety devices across a maximum cable distance of 300 metres.

Designed for ceiling or wall mounting, the ES1MODV can be installed as a standalone input unit using its provided cover or fitted directly beneath a compatible Espire alarm module. Housed in a white, flame-retardant (UL94-V0 rated) UV-stabilised ABS enclosure (Ø142mm x 36.5mm), it accepts 0.75mm² to 2.5mm² wiring and complies with BS EN 60730-1 standards.
