Espire Mains Powered Heat Alarm with 9V Backup Battery (ES1HRV)

The Espire ES1HRV is a Grade D2 mains-powered thermistor heat alarm equipped with a replaceable 9V alkaline backup battery, engineered for fast-response detection of rapid temperature rises in environments prone to dust, steam, or cooking fumes. Certified to BS 5446-2 standards, it is suitable for installation in kitchens, garages, boiler rooms, and dirty utility spaces where optical smoke alarms would cause false triggers.

Powered by 230V AC mains (0.2W standby consumption), the unit includes an automatic self-checking sensor diagnostics routine, an integrated 85dB acoustic sounder at 3 metres, and an auto-dimming power LED that adjusts between day and night modes to prevent intrusive light spill in living spaces. Built-in functionality includes a 10-minute alarm hush function (with a 12-hour fault silence option) and a 24-hour memory feature that retains visual indication of a prior alarm activation.

Designed for fast installation, the ES1HRV mounts onto an anti-tamper lock-in wiring base that supports hardwired interlinking across up to 28 compatible Espire mains safety devices. Housed in a flame-retardant ABS enclosure (Ø132mm x 59.5mm), the unit provides a robust, low-maintenance thermal detection solution for domestic and residential rental property installations.
