Espire Mains Powered Heat Alarm with 10 Year Backup Battery (ES1HLV)

The Espire ES1HLV is a Grade D1 mains-powered heat alarm equipped with a non-replaceable 3V lithium secondary battery backup, delivering 10 years of continuous power redundancy against mains electrical failure. Certified to BS 5446-2:2003, the unit utilises Class A1 thermal detection calibrated to trigger between 54°C and 65°C (typically 58°C). This makes it ideal for areas unsuitable for optical smoke detectors, such as kitchens, boiler rooms, and garages where cooking fumes, steam, or dust are present.

The unit features a built-in 85dB acoustic sounder at 3 metres, along with distinct green (mains), red (fire), and yellow (fault) LED status indicators. A large central Test/Hush button enables complete system testing and temporary silencing of false alarms (10 minutes) or low-battery/fault alerts (12 hours). It also includes a 24-hour memory retention function to identify prior alarm activations on the circuit.

For system networking, the ES1HLV supports hardwired interlinking for up to 28 compatible Espire mains devices. It can also be upgraded for wireless mesh connectivity via an optional plug-in ES1RF1 RF module or installed onto an ES1RB/ES1RBRF relay base for third-party system switching. Built from flame-retardant UV-stabilized ABS, it installs on a fast-fit ceiling mounting base with anti-tamper locking mechanism.
