C-TEC Hi-Output Wall Voice Sounder - Shallow - Red (XP95/Discovery Compatible) (BF446A/CX/SR)

The C-TEC BF446A/CX/SR is an addressable, loop-powered voice sounder with a shallow base which is designed to be wall mounted. It is compatible with XP95/Discovery protocol loops and designed for use with C-TEC's XFP and ZFP fire panels.

The Hi-Output range of addressable, loop-powered, devices includes voice sounders and combined voice sounder visual alarm devices (VADs). Their purpose is to visually and audibly alert building occupants of a fire alarm. They are designed for use with C-TEC’s ZFP and XFP Apollo Discovery protocol panels and other third-party Apollo Discovery protocol panels. However, compatibility testing with third-party panels is recommended to ensure correct operation.

With a 100 dB(A) sound output @ 1 m, units are supplied with a shallow or deep base, in a red plastic enclosure.

The devices offer low current consumption, high sound output, high efficiency VADs, seven selectable volume levels, 15 selectable tone pairs and built-in short-circuit loop isolators.

The sounder and VAD on the combined device can be set to operate independently of each other (panel dependent function).

All devices are designed to comply with all relevant sections of the fire alarm device standards EN 54-3 (Sounders), EN 54-23 (Visual alarm devices - VADs) and EN 54-17 (Short-circuit isolators).
