C-TEC 5 Series PSU Remote Battery Temperature Sensor (BF322)

The C-TEC BF322 5 Series PSU battery temperature sensor is designed to be used with any of C-TEC’s family of 5 Series 12 or 24V EN54-4 power supplies and is designed to be physically attached to the battery being charged in order to more accurately determine the battery temperature. The normal temperature sensor is mounted as standard on all 5 Series PSUs.

The BF322 uses a 2 pin connector and simply plugs into the PSU (see individual PSU instructions for appropriate connector). Once installed, the 5 Series PSU automatically detects the presence of the BF322, switching the temperature measurement from the on-board PSU temperature sensor. This process is reversed should the remote sensor be inadvertently removed or damaged. The remote BF322 temperature sensor should be in contact with the case of one of the batteries (use adhesive tape, cable tie or Blu Tack™ etc.). For the most accurate results, the temperature sensor at the end of the lead should be in contact with the battery case. Do not stand the battery on the BF322 sensor or compress it between two batteries or the enclosure.

The BF322 has an overall length of 1.5m so it is the perfect solution for batteries that are stored in a different enclosure to the 5 Series PSU.
