Product Details for BRK 790MBX Mains Powered Heat Alarm
The BRK 790MBX heat alarm is mains powered with 9V alkaline battery back-up and supplied with a PUSH-FIT docking base system, which is designed to ensure quick and easy installation of the unit to the base.
The advanced class thermistor sensing technology that is used in this alarm avoids false alarms as the unit responds to heat and not smoke and so does not react to fumes/steam. It is best suited for installation in a kitchen as the technology detects rapid changes in temperature and will sound if the temperature reaches a set level.
This unit is compatible with up to 12 smoke, heat and CO alarms, and can be inter-linked for simultaneous warning.
It suitable for use as part of a BS5839:6 Grade D2 system and has a 5-year warranty guaranteed. It is also certified to BS 5446-2: 2003.
