BRK 7010BE Mains Powered Optical Smoke Alarm

BRK's 7010BE mains powered smoke alarm features a 9V alkaline battery back-up, which provides power to the unit and enables it to remain functional in the event of a mains power failure.

This alarm uses advanced optical sensing technology, with a sensing chamber that constantly monitors for any change in temperature and is triggered if large particles are detected. Due to this, optical sensing smoke alarms should be less susceptible to nuisance alarms than ionisation smoke alarms as they are not triggered by cooking fumes. Furthermore, it is perfect for installation in bedrooms and living rooms as it provides a fast response to both slow smoldering fires and fast flaming fires.

This product can be interlinked with up to 12 compatible smoke or heat alarms, which extends detection coverage over a wider area and alerts anyone nearby who may not be in the vicinity of the original sounding alarm.

It is suitable for installation in BS5839:6 Grade D2 systems and is supplied with a mounting base. It is certified to BS EN14604: 2005 and has a guaranteed 5-year warranty period.
