BRK 660MBX Thermally Enhanced Optical Smoke Alarm

BRK's 660MBX is a mains powered optical smoke alarm with a 9V alkaline back-up battery. This back-up will supply the unit with power in the event of a mains failure. 

This alarm uses a thermally enhanced optical sensing chamber that constantly monitors for any change in temperature. This allows the alarm to provide fast response to both slow smoldering fires, that tend to originate from electrical appliances and fast flaming fires. Optical smoke alarms have high sensitivity to large particles in the air which reduces the risk of nuisance alarms, such as being triggered by cooking smoke, as the particles are much smaller in these fumes.

It is possible for this alarm to interlink with up to 12 compatible smoke, heat and CO alarms to form a connected system. It is best suited for installation in bedrooms and living rooms where soft furnishing and cables are often close together. These are the most common starters for slow smoldering fires.

This alarm has a 5-year warranty & guarantee and is suitable for use as part of a BS5839:6 Grade D2 system.
