The Geofire Agrippa Deaf Alert is a vibrating pillow alarm with an LED display that alerts the deaf, hard of hearing, children, heavy sleepers or people on medication in the event of a fire in their home. Supplied with a battery-powered smoke alarm, the Deaf Alert utilises Agrippa's acoustic 'listening' technology which triggers when it detects the smoke alarm sounding. When triggered the Deaf Alert provides a visual warning, displaying the word 'Fire', activating the high intensity LEDs and vibrates the pad under the user's pillow to wake them from sleep.
The Deaf Alert is mains powered with a backup battery supply (4 x AA batteries - supplied) which ensures the unit will still operate in the event of a mains power failure. It is a flexible, portable and reliable solution with an alarm clock function.
Please Note: The Agrippa Deaf Alert will not work with all smoke alarms, but has been tested and calibrated with the supplied smoke alarm. The Deaf Alert is also not suitable for use with commercial fire alarm systems, please see the for this application.
