Aico Ei170RF RadioLINK Alarm Kit for the Deaf & Hard of Hearing

The Aico Ei170RF Alarm Kit comprises a flashing strobe light and vibrating pillow pad, for alerting deaf or hard of hearing users when any interconnected alarms are activated. It is mains powered, with a rechargeable lead acid back-up battery which will give approximately 7 days of power in the event of a mains power failure. It may be interconnected wirelessly with up to 12 other compatible Aico alarms.

The high-intensity Xenon strobe is built into the unit, with a flash rate of 0.8Hz and a wide light output angle. It can be wall or surface mounted to suit your requirements. The vibrating pillow pad can be mounted under pillows or mattresses, where it will vibrate strongly in a pulsing pattern suitable for waking sleeping occupants. There is a large integral 'Test' button on the front of the unit, along with lights to indicate power, alarm, fault and RF status. It also features an auxiliary 3.5mm mono jack plug socket on the top of the unit for connecting an alarm clock (5 to 24V AC or DC output), eliminating the need for multiple vibration pads, plus two other auxiliary sockets for connecting an additional strobe, vibration pad or triggering a radio pager.

It is CE marked and approved to EN 60065:2002 & A12:2011, EN 50130-4:2011, EN 61000-6-3:2007 & A1:2011 and EN 300 220-2 (V2.4.1), with a manufacturer's warranty period of 5 years.

Wireless Interconnection

The Ei170RF utilises RadioLINK wireless connection technology, allowing it to be interconnected with up to 12 other compatible Aico devices without the need for complicated and disruptive wiring. It may be used with 2110e, 160e, and 140RC series smoke and heat alarms when mounted on Ei168RC RadioLINK bases, Ei262 carbon monoxide alarms and all other RadioLINK devices/ancillaries, including the 405 & 600 Series of alarms. Units can be placed up to approximately 30m apart in most buildings.
