The Kidde KF10 series of mains powered ionisation smoke alarms are suitable for interlinking, and are available with a variety of back-up battery options.
With a stylish slim and compact design, this product also features test/hush functionality, an LED display and audible alerts when the unit is low on power. Ionisation alarms are ideal for use in areas where there is a risk of fast-flaming fires. It has a tamper-resistant locking device to prohibit any unauthorised
removal of the alarm without the appropriate tools, and also features a foam gasket to prevent dust ingress.
It can be interlinked with up to 23 other compatible units, so that if one unit is activated, all other interconnected units will sound.
It is CE Marked, compliant with BS EN 14604:2005 and has a manufacturer's warranty period of 6 years.
Battery Back-up Types
KF10 - 9V Alkaline Battery
The KF10 uses a 9V alkaline battery, which will need more frequent replacement than the lithium battery models, but allows for a lower initial purchase price.
KF10LL - 9V Lithium Battery
The KF10LL's lithium battery will only rarely require replacement, if at all, minimising the chances of your alarm ever being without a back-up power source. This is a good choice for devices situated in locations where more frequent battery changes would be inconvenient.
KF10R - Built-In Rechargeable Tamper-Proof Lithium Battery
The KF10R's lithium battery is sealed and recharged within the unit itself, meaning that it will never require replacement. Your alarm will never be without a back-up power source, for the ultimate safety and peace of mind.
