The FireAngel HM-SN-1 is a 230V mains powered heat alarm, with tamper-proof sealed for life battery backup and hard-wired interlinking capabilities. Under typical usage conditions, it uses approximately 10% less power than the average AC fire alarm, and has a battery life of 10 years.

Its integrated ultra-slim mounting base ensures easy installation in areas such as kitchens, garages, or lofts—areas where smoke alarms would be unsuitable due to high levels of fumes or dust.

'Sleep Easy' functionality enables the low battery chirp to be silenced for an 8 hour period (this function can be used up to a maximum of 10 times). The alarm can be temporarily silenced for up to 10 minutes in the case of a known false activation, however if the level of heat detected is very high, this feature will be overridden for your safety and the alarm will continue to sound. When the combined test/silence/locate button is pressed on any device on the network, all connected devices except the device that was triggered will be silenced, offering easy identification of the unit in alarm.

This product provides Class A1 heat detection, and is appropriate for use in Grade D1 systems. It is approved to BS 5446-2: 2003. The manufacturer warranty period is 5 years.

Interconnection

This alarm can be linked with up to 30 units via hard-wiring using 3 core and earth cable. When any device on the system is activated, the 85dB sounders will sound on every other interlinked unit.

Wireless interlinking is also possible with up to 50 compatible alarms by adding a Smart RF / Wi-Safe 2 module.

Thermistek Technology

Thermistek technology employs a unique radiant heat dish to maximise alarm performance during exposure to a radiant heat source. This product constantly monitors for temperature change, so that the alarm will sound earlier if the temperature is predicted to rise above a predetermined threshold.
