Advanced MXP-501 MxPro 5 Remote Battery Temperature Sensor

The Advanced MXP-501 Active EOL & Battery Monitoring peripheral is a remote battery temperature device which should be used when charging batteries housed in large or external enclosures.

For all standard enclosures, this on-board sensor will correctly monitor the temperature of the batteries to ensure that they are charged at the correct charging voltage.

The base card is fitted with a PCB mounted temperature (local) sensor in the bottom right hand corner.

EN54-13 Compliance

In order to comply with EN54-13, The MxPro 5 system must check and warn (prior to an alarm condition) if the voltage at the last device cannot be maintained under the applied alarm load conditions. In order to meet this requirement, the MxPro 5 active EOL is required for all panel sounder outputs.

By using this device, third party accreditation assures compatibility as all components are individually tested and certified to the relevant harmonised product standard. This ensures that the system will fully operate, as intended when actually needed.

Limitations

The Active EOL & Battery Monitoring cable length must not exceed 500mm.
