The BRK 7010LBE smoke alarm is a 230V mains powered optical alarm with a 10 year lithium battery back-up, which ensures the unit remains functional in the event of a mains failure.
The optical sensing technology that is used in these alarms is less susceptible to false activation than alarms that primarily use ionisation sensors as it is only triggered when large particles are detected, which reduces the risk of an alarm sounding due to cooking fumes. This optical technology is ideal for detecting slow smoldering fires which makes it primarily suitable for installation in bedrooms and living rooms.
This product can be interlinked with up to 12 compatible smoke or heat alarms, which extends detection coverage over a wider area. If one of the alarms goes off then they all do which would alert people who may not be near the original sounding alarm.
It is certified to BS EN14604:2005, has a 10-year guaranteed warranty and is supplied with a mounting base plate.
This alarm is suitable for installation as part of a BS5839:6 Grade D2 system.
