Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Fire Extinguishers: For use on - Class B & Electrical Fires
Carbon Dioxide Fire Extinguishers work by smothering the fire, cutting off the fires supply of oxygen which means the fire is unable to burn any longer.
Fires involving electrical equipment are one of the most common types of fire. The gas released is non-conductive, therefore C02 Fire Extinguishers are ideal for any premises with electrical equipment.
Unlike Powder Fire Extinguishers, which can also be used on electrical fires, CO2 fire extinguishers do not leave any residue or mess when discharged which could be harmful to electrical components.
The gas released by a CO2 Fire Extinguisher when discharged is extremely cold, and can cause frost burn. Both the 2 Kg and 5 Kg CO2 Fire extinguishers come with frost free horns, which prevents the user being harmed when holding the horn fire fighting.
CO2 Fire Extinguishers are available in 2 different sizes - 2 Kg & 5 Kg.
